Hello, welcome back and welcome new families!
It has been an exciting and fun filled couple of weeks. Thank you all for being so well organized and responsive and prompt AND patient! Yes, you read correctly that pick up is from 5:00-5:30 and I am the one who has been late getting back to the cafeteria. I apologize. I think I was guesstimating timing based on end-of-the-year pacing instead of start-of-the-year pace. Thanks for your patience.
Please remember that we do not receive information from Pick-up Patrol, so please let us know directly when you have a change of plans for Afterschool. If you do need to pick up before 5:00, please let us know. Email works in advance, and texting is great as the moment gets closer. I do intend to transition to procare, but I am still more dependable via text. Despite the best laid plans, if you are not sure where to find us, please text and we can arrange the best rendez-vous.
We are still enjoying beautiful weather each afternoon and looking forward to Fall. Please be sure to send your child with a healthy snack, water bottle and extra layers every day.
Don’t miss our Vacation Discovery Days!
Last week we kicked off our vacation days with an awesome adventure across lake champlain on a ferry and a hike down into Ausable Chasm.
On Monday, 9/25 we are excited to hike Mount Elmore together (weather permitting)

Families are now able to register for Vacation Discovery full days and half days in advance by date. Specific activities will be announced closer to the vacation dates. Please note that you are billed the afterschool rate for vacation dates that fall on your contracted days whether you attend or not. If you choose to attend the full day please register online first. Full day rate is $74 and half day is $54. These include all activity fees.
Offsite Activities
Join us for Offsite Canoeing on Wednesdays beginning Wednesday, September 20, and continuing for 5 Wednesdays through October 18.

Onsite Biking
Please feel free to bring bikes, scooters, etc. and helmets for our Rec. Path Ramble on Thursdays starting Thursday, September 21. Park bikes at bike rack near the library.
After School Curriculum
After school students will have a variety of activities and outdoor discovery to choose from. Some activities may be scheduled and others will be based on student interest. These activities will change several times throughout the year. We enjoy our snack as a whole group each day and then transition to outings, games, activities or projects.
