Stowe Summer Camp will offer some additional challenges to a unique summer of fun this year. We will be teaching children to wear facial coverings and to maintain physical distance. We will be following the Health Guidance for Child care and Summer Programs provided by Vermont Department of Health, Department of Education, and Department of Children and Families.
Stowe Summer Camp runs from 8:00am to 5:00pm daily. Campers may join us for the summer, by the week, or by the day. Our summer camp is designed for children from 5-7 years old, and from 8-12 years old. Stowe Summer Camp has an exciting schedule of activities for our campers to explore in depth. Our local experts have set aside special programming designed to develop skills in a flexible progression that meets each camper's abilities and schedule.
Apple Tree Learning Centers is conveniently located on the Mountain Road in Stowe. The Stowe Recreation path boarders the property providing a short walk to neighboring swimming pools, the West Branch Stream, playing fields, and access to miles of beautiful forest trails for hiking and biking!
Our horseback riding program takes place at Hope Grows Community Farm. Their mission is "to create a welcoming, supportive, and educational environment for youth and families of all backgrounds." They "offer a unique and enriching environment to experience growth and healing." Students spend half their day on the farm learning to tac and groom horses safely, riding a horse in an expertly guided lesson, playing games, and learning other stable chores. Amber Bennett and her staff provide superior instruction. Amber was raised on a horse farm in St. Johnsbury. She has a BA in Psychology from UVM, and a Masters in Mental Health Counseling. Our campers love their horses, their instructors, and their beautiful experiences at Hope Grows.
